Marlborough softball with walk-off win over Leominster

    Marlborough – The Marlborough High School Panthers softball team defeated the Leominster High School Blue Devils by a score of 5-4 in a Girls Softball Central Division 1 first round playoff game played on June 3.

    Marlborough’s scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth to tie up the game at 4-4. In the bottom of the seventh, Victoria Petrie walked and then scored when Julia Brooks doubled to left field. Victoria Petrie also hit a triple and a home run in the victory. Olivia Larson pitched a complete game and struck out 7 for Marlborough.

    Marlborough advances to the quarter finals where they will play St. Peter Marian High School on Friday, June 5. Leominster concludes their season with a 10-9 record.
