Marlborough – A request to accept Dicenzo Boulevard as a public way, along with its appurtenant easements as municipal easements, was approved by the City Council during its Oct. 19 meeting. But the matter must also be referred to the Planning Board for study, according to City Solicitor Donald V. Rider, Jr.
Rider told the council that Massachusetts law stipulates that no road may be accepted as a public way unless the planning board has issued a report on the proposed acceptance.
The developer, Indian Development Corporation, has completed work on various sheds, fences and other items associated with an approximately 10-foot-wide pedestrian access easement and 20-acre parcel, according to Rider. The easement connects the 20-acre parcel with Callahan State Park.
