Region – SpencerBANK recently donated $1,750 to Abby’s House, a local organization that provides emergency shelter, affordable housing and advocacy services to homeless women and children in Worcester County. This donation goes to benefit the organization’s Buy-A-Bed Campaign, providing women and children a warm and safe place to sleep.

“This is a wonderful organization with an important mission of providing individuals a safe place to sleep,” said K. Michael Robbins, president and CEO of SpencerBANK. “This donation will enable Abby’s House to provide up to 50 nights of housing for someone in need of a place to stay.”

Since 1976, Abby’s House has provided nearly 12,000 women and children a safe place to stay, regroup and rebuild. With 78 units, Abby’s House is the largest provider of affordable housing in Worcester and is designed to meet the needs of women and children in 60 cities and towns throughout Central Massachusetts.
