Marlborough – Nine Marlborough veterans of World War II were honored at a special ceremony held Sept. 26 at the Italian American (ITAM) Post 45.

Post Commander John Kortes presided over the special event, which was also attended by state representatives Danielle Gregoire, D-Marlborough and Carmine Gentile, D-Sudbury, and Mayor Arthur Vigeant.

Kortes thanked the veterans for their “service to our country and continuing to serve the community as active members of ITAM.”
