Shrewsbury – Beli R. Lima, of Shrewsbury, died at home Sunday morning, Dec. 6, 2015, surrounded by family, after a yearlong battle with breast cancer. She was 49.
Beli was born Oct. 22, 1966 in Sao Jose do Divine, MG, Brazil. She was raised along with her five siblings, Juscelio, Valdinei, Liliane, Agnaldo and Maquinei.
She worked as a secretary in her early age, but after having her first child (Henrique), she immigrated to the United States in 1991 with her husband Oseas Lima, in search of better work opportunities to help support her new family. In 1995, they had Carolina and decided to live the rest of their lives in the United States.
In 1997, Beli opened her own cleaning business, BR Cleaning Services. There, she worked the rest of her life and her longtime clients became lifelong friends. She loved her job and also took pride in the trust she had earned with her clients. On many occasions, she would receive phone calls inquiring where valuable items were located and the status of missing belongings. Beli would always retrace her steps like a detective in order to help clients locate the missing items. Her honesty and integrity became her business’ brand recognition. Always maintaining her client’s personal information, access codes, keys, alarm codes, etc. in the highest regard to privacy. She used to say… “I treat every home like it was my home, and I work the way I’d expect someone to work in mine.”
Beli’s passions included vacationing with family, cooking dinners for family, and spending time with her family. She loved having sleepovers with her nieces Nicole and Lorena, and visiting her other nieces and nephews Lissa, William and Melissa. Holidays were the most important time in the year for Beli, spending weeks in preparation to assure everyone would have a memorable and happy holiday, always making sure to cater to everyone’s needs before catering to her own. If you knew Beli, you knew how important her family was to her.
Beli leaves her son, Henrique R. Santos, 26 years old, and her daughter, Carolina R. Lima, 20 years old, and her mother, Custodia Moreira, and father, Jovelino Rocha.
Beli touched the lives of many people, her love and kindness will never be forgotten. Her faith in God is her guide through anything and everything. Rest in peace, Beli, we love you.
