Marlborough – Anchor Wealth Management is asking for donations of clean, gently used coats, hats, scarves and gloves to support their coat drive program. All donated outerwear will be given to the Marlborough Community Cupboard for distribution to local children and adults in need.

“We are aware of the growing need in this community, as well as other communities, of those in poverty and their lack of appropriate warm clothing during the cold winter season,” said Mark Russo, president of Anchor Wealth Management.

“Last year we had an incredibly cold and stormy winter and knowing there are people, families with children, that have very little to protect themselves from the cold, was what drove our decision to help out this year. We are grateful to those who have already contributed coats to help their neighbors in need.”

Marlborough Community Cupboard Administrator Barbara LaGrenade added, “We are grateful for any contributions to our organization. The holiday season puts a spotlight on those in need for clothing or any type of support, and we couldn’t be more thankful to anyone who contributes. Small contributions go a long way in helping a family, senior citizen, or child, be protected from the harsh weather here in New England. It’s all about improving the overall quality of someone’s life.”

To donate, drop off your coat or other warm winter gear at 910 Boston Post Road East, Suite 120, Marlborough, or call Anchor Wealth to schedule a pickup at 508-481-5507, ext. 11 by Tuesday, Dec. 22.
