Westborough – The National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society has honored local businessman Mark Silverman as an MS Shining Star. Silverman is the owner of Mark’s Moving & Storage Company in Westborough.

The society recently honored Silverman at a dinner in Norwood for his generosity in supporting its fundraising events.

“We have the largest bike event in the country, Bike MS, and Mark is a key supporter of our efforts,” said Greater New England Chapter President Lori Espino.

For more than 20 years, Silverman has donated a truck and driver to Bike MS: Ride the Vineyard. He also provides transportation support service for Bike MS: Cape Cod Getaway and the annual Challenge Walk MS.

“Because of Mark’s help, we are able to keep our costs down and our events running smoothly,” said Espino. “He is truly a shining star.”

For more information on Bike MS, go to www.bikeMSgne.org.
