Obit Michael E. SemenchukMarlborough – Michael E. Semenchuk, 59, of Marlborough, died Friday, Feb. 26, 2016 at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Born in Waltham, he was the son of the late Michael and Thelma (Orpin) Semenchuk. A resident of Waltham for 35 years, Michael returned to Massachusetts in June 2015 after spending time with his family and enjoying the companionship of his extended family at Burnt Mountain Center in Jasper, Ga.

His personality matched his sociability and always happiest when among his family and friends. He had great success in the track and field events at the Special Olympics, was extremely patriotic, always showing respect to the flag and those who serve. He also was an Elvis Presley fan and a devotee of NCIS.

He is survived by his brothers, Richard Semenchuk of Ellijay, Ga. and Kevin Semenchuk and his wife Janice of Winchendon; his sisters, Nancy Mulcahy and Elaine MacKay and her husband James, all of Marlborough; and several nieces, nephews, grand- nieces and grand-nephews, and many cousins. He was also the brother of the late Robert Semenchuk and the brother- in-law of the late David Mulcahy.

A funeral service was celebrated March 2, at 10 a.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home of Marlborough, with burial to follow at Mt. Feake Cemetery in Waltham.
