Obit Lawrence R. TeboHolden – Lawrence R. “Larry” Tebo, 75, of Holden, former longtime resident of Grafton, passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 at UMass Memorial Campus Hospital after a period of declining health.

He leaves his wife of 51 years, Anne (Schollard); a son, David L. Tebo and his wife Kristin of Oakham; a daughter, Nicole A. Murray and her husband John of Holden; and four grandchildren, Ryan, Charlotte, Matthew, and Sarah. He also leaves a brother, Kenneth of St. Petersburg, Fla., and a brother, James of Queens, N.Y. His brother, Mark, passed away in 2014. He also leaves many nephews and nieces.

He was born in Worcester, the son of the late Lawrence and Mary (Lavin) Tebo. He graduated from St. John’s High School and attended Worcester State College, where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, and Framingham State College, where he received a Master’s Degree in Education.

Mr. Tebo was a science teacher at Grafton Middle School and Sutton High School for many years. He also was the Executive Director of the Grafton Housing Authority. He then worked in real estate until his retirement in 2004.

He loved to travel with his wife, Anne. They traveled to Aruba many times and went on many cruises and trips to the Caribbean.

He was a devoted fan of Boston sports teams since his childhood. He loved to watch the Red Sox and was very happy when they won the World Series in 2004. In the past, he was a season ticket holder of the Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics.

He loved to see his grandchildren, and enjoyed watching them play sports and perform at dance recitals.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 14, from 9:30-10:30 a.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton. A funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 17 Waterville St., North Grafton. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in North Grafton.
