Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Education Foundation (SEF) invites the greater Shrewsbury community to honor and celebrate this year’s educational grant recipients and John P. Collins Awards for Excellence and this year’s Community Service Award honoree, Shrewsbury Town Manager Daniel J. Morgado. The SEF annual Awards and Fundraising Dinner will take place Saturday, Jan. 21, at Cyprian Keyes Golf Club in Boylston. Cocktails begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7 p.m., and presentations at 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $75 per person and can be purchased through the SEF website, www.SEFGrants.org, after Sunday, Jan. 1.
The Community Service Award is granted to a town leader who goes above and beyond in delivering outstanding services to the community and to the Shrewsbury Public Schools.
Morgado is being recognized for his outstanding service to the community. Grants and John P. Collins Awards for Excellence recipients will be announced at a later date.

The SEF is an all-volunteer organization that raises money to fund grants which put resources and programs directly into the classroom. Shrewsbury Public School teachers write grant applications seeking funding for unique learning experiences and resources that will directly benefit students.
