Boston – Many local residents joined thousands of protestors of both sexes and all ages at Boston’s Women’s March for America Jan. 21. They carpooled, traveled by bus, took the commuter rail, and others drove to MBTA stations, parked and took the T into town.
A massive crowd packed the Boston Commons, making it difficult for some to reach the actual march. But being there, peacefully, seemed to be enough for many.
“I’ve marched before, since the mid-seventies, and I’m sad that so many of the gains we’ve made are being threatened, but after today, I think we got this,” Amysue Chase of Shrewsbury said.
The event was one of hundreds held around the world that day.
