Elaine Coyne-Greenleaf, 83, of MarlboroughMarlborough – Elaine Coyne-Greenleaf, of Marlborough, died Monday, April 17, 2017 at the Beaumont Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Westborough, at the age of 83.

She was born July 15, 1933 in Hudson, the daughter of the late Arthur E. and Frances R. (Bekauski) Coyne. She had been the wife of the late Dr. Kenneth Greenleaf for 27 years at the time of his death July 22, 2009. She graduated from Hudson High School in 1951 and continued her education at Hahnemann Hospital, Worcester, where she earned her nursing degree.

Elaine had been employed at Marlborough Hospital for 30 years and was beloved by all. She was President and Treasurer of the Marlborough Graduate Nurses Club, Secretary and board member of the Marlborough Historical Society, member of the Sudbury Historical Society, a member of the Colonial Garden Club of Marlborough since 1987, serving as Treasurer for 6 years. She enjoyed knitting, quilting, gardening, traveling and the love and companionship of her husband Ken.

Elaine is survived by her sister, Dorothy A. Francis and her husband George of Marlborough; her nieces, Mary Ann Francis of Virginia, Rosemarie Harris of California, Kathleen Francis and her husband David of Falmouth, Susan Cooper and her husband Harry of Louisiana, Carolyn Coyne of Washington, and Sandra Coyne of Louisiana; and her nephews, George P. Francis III and his wife Lorraine of Marlborough, Robert Francis and his wife Natalie of Marshfield, Francis E. Coyne and his wife Luann of Illinois, and Michael Coyne and his wife Cheryl of Virginia. She is also survived by her great-nephews, Timothy Francis and Brandon Cooper, and great-nieces, Elaine Smith, Laura Barrett, Melanie Francis, Molly Francis, Elizabeth Honig, Jessica Moore, and Shannon Coyne, as well as her extended family, the four children and grandchildren of Kenneth Greenleaf. She was also the sister of the late Francis E. Coyne.

Visiting hours will be held Saturday, April 22, from 10-11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at Forestvale Cemetery, Hudson.
