Wayne A. Wilson Sr., 53, formerly of GraftonGrafton/Hopkinsville, Ky. – Wayne A. Wilson Sr., 53, of Hopkinsville, Ky., formerly of Grafton, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017 following an illness.

Wayne is survived by his son, Wayne Alan Wilson II, and his father, John H. Wilson, and two nephews, one niece and several cousins. Wayne was predeceased by his mother, Alice F. (Borezo) Wilson, and his brother, John S. Wilson.

Wayne was born July 31, 1964 in Worcester, but called Kentucky home for most of his life. He was 12 years old when he began working along with his father, John, at his family-run business, The Pro Shop and Trophy House. He was also a co-owner of Wilson Spring Grip Handicapped Bowling Ball, a member of the Hopkinsville Lions Club, Hall of Fame Member of the United States Bowling Association (USBA) and was a devoted member of the Hillcrest Baptist Church.

Away from work, Wayne was a fiercely loyal Boston Red Sox fan and will be remembered for the charisma that made him well liked by so many.

All are welcome to gather with Wayne’s family Monday, Oct. 30, from 4-7 p.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., N. Grafton. A funeral service will be held for Wayne Tuesday, Oct. 31, at 10 a.m., at the funeral home. He will then be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in North Grafton.
