Shirley M. Frongillo, 86, of ShrewsburyShrewsbury – Shirley M. (Garganigo) Frongillo, 86, longtime Shrewsbury resident, passed away peacefully with her family gathered at her side Saturday, Oct. 28, 2017 after a brief period of declining health joining in Heaven her daughter, Nancy Coppellotti.

Shirley was born in Worcester, one of three daughters of Salvatore and Theresa (Guerra) Garganigo. Raised in Shrewsbury, Shirley graduated from Shrewsbury High School and had lived in Shrewsbury all her life.

Shirley is survived by her two children, Henry A. Frongillo III and his wife, Sheila, of Contuit and Sally Davolio and her husband, Michael, with whom she lived; her former husband, Henry Frongillo Jr., with whom she remained friends; four grandchildren, Gina Burns and her husband, Trevor, Lea Keddy, Alyssa Paulhus and her husband, Jonathan, and Nicholas Davolio and his girlfriend, Kate O’Keefe; four great-grandchildren, Francesca, Dylan, Anthony, and Ryan; and nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.   Her daughter, Nancy Coppellotti, and sisters, Ruth Lysik and Doris Dumas, all predeceased her.

Shirley was a member of St. Anne’s Church. She enjoyed her senior trips with friends, bingo, crocheting, making Afghans for family and friends.

Shirley was a simple woman, whose life centered on family. The greatest moments in her life were those spent with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were her life’s  inspiration. Having them around her brought smiles to her face and pride in her heart.

Funeral services and burial next to her daughter, Nancy, will be held privately. There are no calling hours.
