Region – The Assabet Valley Chambersingers will provide an entertaining afternoon of choral music Sunday, Jan. 14, at 3 p.m. at Pilgrim Church, 15 Common St., in Southborough. This “Winter Warmups” program will be diverse, with music from Renaissance madrigals to vocal jazz and texts from the sublime (poetry of Bishop and De La Vega) to the silly (a vocal rendition of the “William Tell Overture”).  The event is free and sponsored by Pilgrim Church. Free will offerings are gratefully accepted and will support the Chambersingers.

Assabet Valley Chambersingers, an 18-voice adjunct ensemble of Assabet Valley Mastersingers, was organized in 1983 by Director Robert Eaton as a civic outreach program in the greater Worcester area for performance of unaccompanied madrigals and motets from all periods, Broadway show tunes, and vocal jazz standards.
