John H. Rossley Sr.Hudson – John “Skippy” H. Rossley Sr., 76, of Hudson, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at The Reservoir Center for Health and Rehabilitation in Marlborough, surrounded by his loving family, after a period of declining health. He leaves behind his beloved wife of 56 years, Sharon L. (Roberts) Rossley.

Skippy was born July 24, 1941 in Marlborough, the son of the late David W. Rossley and Mary (Stanina) Geldart. He was raised in Hudson where he graduated from high school and resided his entire life. Skippy was a hard worker, who maintained several jobs before eventually retiring as the custodian at Lincoln Sudbury Regional High School.

Skippy was a former member of Christ the King Church and also Saint Michael Parish in Hudson. He also enjoyed camping and watching sports, especially the Patriots and Bruins. Most of all, he was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and a true patriarch and role model to his family.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by his two sons, John H. Rossley Jr. of Clinton and Kevin M. Rossley and his wife Pamela of Hudson; his grandchildren, Krystle Hughes, Ryan Hughes, Kayla Rossley, Shauna Rossley, Trevor Rossley, Jaclyn Rossley, and Cameron Rossley; and a great-grandchild, Derek Hughes. In addition to his parents he was also predeceased by his brother, Joseph J. Rossley.

A calling hour will be held Friday, March 16, from 6-7 p.m., at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, immediately followed by a memorial service at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be held at a later time.
