Marlborough – Annie Elizabeth (Gennari) Bucchino, 101, died surrounded by her loving family Wednesday, March 7, 2018 after a long period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Vincent James Bucchino who died in 2009. They were married for 68 years.

She was born in Southborough, the daughter of the late Luigi and Modesta (Grilli) Gennari and lived in Marlborough for 65 years.

Annie graduated from Ashland High School and worked at the former Dennison Manufacturing and the former Cushing Hospital in Framingham.  She also worked in the records department at the former Braemor Nursing Home in Marlborough.

Annie was an avid reader, enjoyed baking, cooking and also loved music and dancing.  She was a very devout catholic and loved people from all walks of life.

She is survived by a daughter, Carolyn Bucchino and her fiancée David Linture of Marlborough,; two sons, Ronald Bucchino of Marlborough and Joseph Bucchino and his wife Mary Russo; three grandchildren, James, Michael, and Kimberly; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, James Bucchino, who died in 2006.

Her funeral will be held Thursday, March 15, at 11 a.m., in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. Burial will follow in Rural Cemetery of Southborough. Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, March 14, from 4-7 p.m., at the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St., Marlborough.
