Theresa MoffaMarlborough – On the second day of spring, March 22, 2018, our mother, Theresa (Dupuis) Moffa, passed away in Northborough. Born the seventh child of nine children to Emile and Angeline (Courville) Dupuis on August 17, 2027 in Marlborough, she graduated from St. Anne Academy of Marlborough, married Nicholas S. Moffa in January 1948 and proudly raised their eight children.

She was predeceased by her husband of 57 years and seven of her siblings. Left to cherish her memory is her brother, Joseph Dupuis and his wife Ann of Albuquerque, N.M.; eight children, Andrea White and her husband John of Florida, Jacqueline Masopust and her husband Henry of Georgia, Diane Golden of Massachusetts, Nicolette Banbury and her husband Richard of Connecticut, Joseph Moffa and his wife Carol of California, Bernadette Moffa of Massachusetts, Christopher Moffa of Colorado, and Daniel Moffa and his wife Silvana of Connecticut; 16 grandchildren; almost 13 great- grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Prior to their retirement and move to Ormand Beach, Fla., Mrs. Moffa had been active in the Marlborough Woman’s Club, where she served as president, the Ace of Clubs, St. Mary’s PTA, and a supporter of the Marlborough Public Library and Marlborough Hospital. She enjoyed bridge, sewing, cooking, museums, antique collecting and watching her children and grandchildren grow. She valued her Catholic faith, her family, education, hard work and persistence.

Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, March 27, from 4-7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 28, at 10 a.m., at St. Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.
