Marlborough – Twenty-seven Marlborough High School (MHS) students attended the Business Professionals of America State Leadership Conference during the weekend of March 3, 19 received awards and 10 are eligible to compete at the National Leadership Conference in Dallas, Texas.

Business Professionals of America (BPA) is a career and technical student organization that aims to develop leadership, academic, and technological skills in the workplace among students and leaders within the community. One of the ways this is accomplished is through state and national conferences.

The following students received awards: Marissa Caissie, Abigail Roberge, Ivana Awada, Jerry McCarthy, Michaela Zourharis, Jack Tobin, Kyle Carroll, Courtney Matthews, Dorothy Davis, Nikhil Patel, Zakaria Faddi, Madelyn Sedar, Josie Ouellette, Nicole DiDonato, Haylee Braga, Devin Raun and Dylan Ciaccio.

Because of their students’ success, the business department of Marlborough Public Schools is soliciting the business community for assistance to sponsor their young business professionals.  The yearly cost is steep for these student participants, costing approximately $300 to compete at the State Leadership Conference and over $1,000 to bring the competition to a national level. If you are interested in donating, send checks payable to the Marlborough Activity Fund at Marlborough High School, C/O BPA, 431 Bolton St., Marlborough, MA 01752.
