Joseph L. MagliozziMarlborough – Joseph L. Magliozzi, 83, of Marlborough, died Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester.

Born in Cambridge, he was the son of the late Salvatore and Annie (Marzullo) Magliozzi. After graduating from Rindge Technical School, Joe enlisted in the Air force, stationed in Chandler, Ariz.

A life-long hard worker, he was known locally for owning the Deli-Way restaurant in Marlborough. Moving to Scottsdale, Ariz. in 1986, he developed property and worked security at the Gainey Ranch community before returning to Marlborough in 2014.

He was a cigar aficionado who loved cheering on the Boston sports teams.

He leaves behind his former wife, Dorothy (Nicoloro) Magliozzi of Marlborough; his daughters, Donna Magliozzi of Marlborough, Lynn Magliozzi of Westborough, and Pamela Wells and her husband James of Whitinsville; his grandchildren, Cara Magliozzi and Michael and Christopher Wells; and his sister, Mary Eaton of Melrose, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers, Raymond, Anthony, Cosmo and Salvatore Magliozzi.

Visiting hours will be held Monday, May 14, from 4-7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, May 15, at 11 a.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough.
