Marlborough – Donna M. (Maffioli) Estabrook, 66, passed away Sept. 11, 2018 after a long hard-fought battle with cancer. She was the wife of David Estabrook, to whom she was married for 38 years.

She was born in Somerville, the daughter of  the late Angelo Maffioli and Doris (Natale) Maffioli, and lived much of her young life in Watertown before moving to Marlborough.

Donna was a graduate of Marlborough High School, class of 1970, and was a Majorette in the Immaculate Conception Drill Team. She proudly served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Marlborough Girls Club and was a longtime member of the Loyal 1129 Marlborough Women of the Moose.

For 20 years, Donna worked as a senior accountant at the Longden Company in Hudson and was still working until becoming ill recently.

She is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Brecken and her husband Shawn; a son, Brett Clark; two stepsons, Mark Estabrook and Michael Estabrook and his wife Debi; a brother, Michael Maffioli and his wife Susan; eight grandchildren, Michael Estabrook and his wife Krystle, Justine and Jillian Rainville, Kira Clark, Jacob S. and Jacob A., Katie and Kevin Brecken; two great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Carter; and many nieces and nephews and friends. She also leaves her best friends, Kathy Bush and Patti Slattery.

The family would like to thank all those involved with Donna’s care during her long fight.

A graveside service will be held Friday, Sept. 14, at 10:30 a.m., at Evergreen Cemetery in Marlborough. Family and friends are invited to gather Friday morning from 9-10 a.m. at the William R. Short and Son Funeral Home (www.shortfuneral.com), 95 West Main St., Marlborough. Visiting hours at the funeral home will be held Thursday, Sept. 13, from 5-8 p.m.
