Shrewsbury Historical Society announces scholarship recipients

Shrewsbury – As part of its outreach to the community, the Shrewsbury Historical Society recently presented two scholarships to graduating high school seniors. The Shrewsbury Historical Society’s Stephen Porter Scholarship was awarded to Molly O’Neill who is attending Endicott College and the Jean McDonald Graham Scholarship was awarded to Olivia Zona who is attending George Washington University.

The Stephen Porter Scholarship is given to a high school senior in memory of Stephen Porter, a longtime member who was actively involved in the restoration of the District #5 Schoolhouse. The Jean McDonald Graham Scholarship is given to a high school senior in memory of Jean McDonald Graham, a longtime member who dedicated much of her involvement to educating students about local history.
