St. John’s tops Shrewsbury in Division 3 finals

Leominster – The St. John’s Pioneers football team defeated the Shrewsbury Colonials 41-23 in the Central Division 3 championship playoff game Nov. 10 at Doyle Field in Leominster.

St. John’s quarterback Colin Schofield threw three touchdown passes. Eamonn Dennis rushed for 2 touchdown and caught one of Schofield’s throws. Sophomore Luke Feraco had two interceptions for St. John’s on defense.

Drew Campanale threw two touchdown passes for Shrewsbury and ran one in on his own, from 53 yards out.

St. John’s advances to play Springfield Central in the State Division 3 semi-finals, Saturday, Nov.17 at Westfield Statue University.
