Worcester – In the early morning hours of Dec. 9, Christopher Roy, a firefighter with the Worcester Fire Department, along with his brave colleagues, battled a five-alarm fire in that city. Sadly, Roy died from injuries he sustained while being trapped in the blaze.
Roy, who resided in Shrewsbury, leaves behind a nine-year-old daughter, Ava, who family members describe as the “light of his life”, as well as his parents and brother. He also leaves behind a heartbroken community that mourns the terrible loss of this young, heroic firefighter who was doing the job he loved – selflessly protecting the lives and property of others.
