Shrewsbury – The Living Water Family Center announces a new event for families and all people, every second and third Sunday of the month, from 6-8 p.m.
Living Water Family Center is a new organization designed for religious or non-religious people, people who do not have time for church but are missing conversations, good times and children education, or people curious about Christ and wanting to know more while enjoying a nice meal in a low-key environment.
The evening starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 8 p.m. Nursery care and children activities are available, as well as a free dinner. The concept behind this new and exciting venture is going back to the basics of Christianity, when people met in each other’s homes to share food and fellowship. It is a gathering of people of good will, where all the most important things happen at the table. There is a meal. But the group does not meet first and then eat. Or eat dinner, and then have church. “We do not take the main worship, study, children activities into a room away from the eating area. It all happens simultaneously. Think of a good dinner party with a spiritual twist – and then just add art (music, poetry, Scripture), robust conversation and prayerful moments,” said Pastor Nancy Allen.
The gathering will take place at the India Center, 152 Main St., Shrewsbury. For more information visit www.livingwaterfamilycenter.org or call Pastor Allen at 978-793-0847.
