To the Editor:
On May 7th, Shrewsbury voters will have a choice for the Board of Selectmen. The Board is the chief executive body of our town. Decisions made by the Board can have immediate and long lasting impacts on our town. This is not an entry-level position and experience does matter. Being a successful, effective, and trusted leader in this role requires skills developed through professional and personal experience.
John Lebeaux and John Samia are well prepared leaders. Each has a unique mix of business, public service, and general life experience. Each will bring critical knowledge and perspective to the Board. They have the temperament to work collaboratively with town officials and residents to establish long term goals and priorities. Perhaps most importantly, both have demonstrated they are fair-minded, listening to all sides on issues that impact our community. Their thoughtful, stable leadership will serve our town well.
