Shrewsbury – Well over a hundred people of all ages were in attendance – in just the first hour – of the 2nd Annual International Fair & Diversity Celebration which was held April 6 at the Sherwood Middle School. Organizer Melissa Hollenback was thrilled with the turn-out and the location for this year’s event.

Hosted by WE CAN (the Shrewsbury Farmers Market) and the Shrewsbury Special Education Parent Advisory Council (SEPAC,) the goal was to expand the event to include more people with diverse abilities.

High school students volunteered their time to serve international snacks, and there were musical and  dance performances including Irish Step dance, Belly Dancers, Kathak, which is an Indian Dance) and bagpipes, to name a few.

Approximately 20 groups from a broad spectrum of Shrewsbury’s organizations and town departments had a display where they showcased what they do and their role within the community.
