Grafton – David F. Dunphy, 60, passed away June 13, 2019 at home following an illness.
He is survived by his mother, Rita (O’Neil) Dunphy; his sisters, Darlene Walkiewicz and her husband Craig and Donna Walker; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father, Daniel Dunphy.
Dave was born July 22, 1958 in Worcester and spent most of his life in Grafton. For 36 years he worked at The Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts University in North Grafton.
Away from work he was a devoted volunteer firefighter, serving as a lieutenant on the Grafton Fire Department for 18 years in North Grafton. He loved to travel, especially to Ireland and on fishing trips to Maine.
All are welcome to gather with Dave’s family and friends Tuesday, June 18, from 6-8 p.m., at Roney Funeral Home, 152 Worcester St., North Grafton. A funeral Mass will be celebrated for Dave Wednesday, June 19, at 11 a.m., at St. Mary’s Church, 17 Waterville St., North Grafton. He will then be laid to rest at Pine Grove Cemetery in North Grafton.
