Two Westborough Scouts earn Eagle Scout rankWestborough – Adam Dapolite and Andrew O’Keefe from Troop 100 Westborough were awarded the rank of Eagle Scout May 19 at The Congregational Church of Westborough.

Scoutmaster Eric French introduced the new Eagle Scouts, while Assistant Scoutmaster David Buffo presented the awards and Assistant Scoutmaster Ian Johnson presented the Eagle Scout Charge.

Adam, the son of Beth and Chip Dapolite, is a junior at Westborough High School. His Eagle Scout project involved working with Westborough Little League to design and construct two dugouts over the existing benches to protect players at the Target fields.

Andrew, the son of Brian and Christine O’Keefe is also a junior at Westborough High School.

Improving the access road to Gilmore Pond is what Andrew chose as his Eagle service project. The work included managing a team of Scouts and adults in re-grading and weeding the road, and improving drainage by digging swales and filling them with rip rap and crushed stone in preparation for the trail to be made handicapped accessible.
