Shrewsbury – As part of its outreach to the community, the Shrewsbury Historical Society recently presented scholarships to graduating high school seniors.
The Shrewsbury Historical Society Stephen Porter Scholarship is given to a high school senior in memory of Stephen Porter, a longtime member who was actively involved in the restoration of the District #5 Schoolhouse. This scholarship was awarded to Bradley Quitadamo, a St. John’s High School graduate who will be attending the University of Pittsburgh.
The Shrewsbury Historical Society Jean McDonald Graham Scholarship is given in memory of Jean McDonald Graham, a longtime member who was dedicated to educating students about local history. This scholarship was awarded to Shrewsbury High School graduates Loren Cardani, who will be attending the University of Rochester, and Hannah Dugan, who will be attending the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
