Marlborough – Diane Richard, 64, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on January 29th, 2020 in Marlborough, Massachusetts. Diane was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts to Alice (Duggan) Delaney and Chester Delaney.
Diane enjoyed time with her friends in Ashford, Connecticut at Brialee Campground which she lovingly nicknamed her “happy place”. Diane enjoyed life and the very art of living it and was always pleased with the simple things in life. Happiness was abundant when Diane participated in one of her favorite pastimes, Bingo. She also loved to crochet, cook and spending time floating on the pond.
Diane is survived by her beloved husband, Thomas Richard, by her two daughters, Tina Giancola and her husband Mark Giancola of Marlborough, Danielle Frappier and her husband Jon Frappier of Millis, and her grandchildren Jaime Sutherland, Jesse Sutherland, and Averi Frappier. Diane is also survived by her sisters Mary Delaney and her partner Jerry of Palm Beach Florida, Jeanne Palleschi and her husband Charlie of Revere, her little sister Joan Galbraith of Lynn, as well as numerous other dear family members and cherished friends. She is predeceased by her parents and sister, Nancy Delaney.
Calling hours for Diane will be held at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central Street, Hudson, Massachusetts on Sunday, February 2, 2020 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A service in celebration of her life will be held at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home on Monday, February 3, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society in Diane’s honor.
