Grace C. JanulavitchShrewsbury – Grace C. (Rucci) Janulavitch, of Shrewsbury died peacefully on Monday January 27, 2020 in the Beaumont of Worcester surrounded by her loving family.

Grace leaves her two daughters Carole A. Janulavitch-Gill of Shrewsbury, and Donna M. Janulavitch of Worcester. She was the proud grandmother to Michael Pelosi, Tracy Brown, Karen Newell and Amanda Jamieson. She also has three great grandchildren. Ryan, Corey, and Brittany and several great great grandchildren. Grace is also survived by her sisters, Mary Clemente of Worcester, Frances Deras of Martinsburg WV, and Theresa Atkins of Watervliet NY. and many nephews and nieces and her former husband John A. Janulavitch. She was predeceased by a daughter Christine Janulavitch, and brothers, Danny, Anthony, Angelo, Christino, Maurice, Domenic and George Rucci.

Grace would like to thank her neighbors Mike and Sandy Perna for all their caring ways and help throughout the years, it was appreciated more than words can say.

Grace was born in Worcester daughter of the late Domenic and Josephine (Tatalo) Rucci and has lived in Shrewsbury over 50 years. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. Grace was a Monitor at the Calvin Coolidge School in Shrewsbury for 32 years before she retired. Grace was a member of the Church of St. Anne’s.

Grace loved working with the children at the school and the children loved her. She had a zest for life and was always fun to be with. She was recognized by the Shrewsbury School Department for her 32 years of service. Grace was an Elvis and country music fan and in her earlier years enjoyed bowling. She was proud of her Italian Heritage. She loved being with her family, that meant the most to her. She made friends everywhere she went and enjoyed spending time at Tex’s Service Station where she was beloved by her friends there. Grace will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Grace’s funeral will be held on Monday February 3, 2020 at 11:00AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. A calling hour to remember and celebrate her life will be held from 10:00AM to 11:00 the time of the service in the funeral home. Interment will be in the family lot in St. Johns Cemetery. Please omit flowers.
