Marlborough – The local nonprofit Kits for Kids is pleased to announce a free drive-through kit distribution event on Saturday, Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will be held at Al Brodeur’s Auto Body, 412 South St., Marlborough.
Kits for Kids would like to acknowledge the children in the greater Marlborough area for doing a great job quarantining over the past many months. These are the same emergency comfort kits that the organization delivers to children going into the foster care system and medical facilities all over the state.
Organizers said there will be at least 1,000 kits to give away, with the majority of kits labeled for ages 3-7, 8-12, and teens. There will also be a limited quantity of kits for infant/toddlers and special needs.
“Since we’ve all been under a little stress the past few months, Kits for Kids would love to bring smiles to all of the area children. These are specially-created kits, made by a small group of volunteers to diminish any contamination risks,” the organizers noted.
