Region – Each fall, local Boy Scouts canvas the region collecting non-perishable items that will then be donated to local food pantries. The Scouts are still planning on doing so this year, but with safety measures in place. Scouts will be collecting items this Saturday, Nov. 14, starting at 9 a.m. Residents are asked to leave their donations outside their homes in bag or box in view of the street, along with a tag on it that notes it is for the Scouts collection.
As always, they ask that you check expiration dates before putting items into the box.
