Northborough tree lighting honors a fallen sonNorthborough – On a beautiful, cold night, Dec. 9, Northborough’s annual tree lighting was held, without its usual pomp and circumstance, due to the pandemic. In spite of that, the event has great meaning to the town’s residents, as it is held each year to honor the memory of PFC Neil Ellsworth, who was killed in combat in 1967 during the Vietnam War while serving as a paratrooper.

The event is hosted by the Northborough Community Affairs Committee.
