Marlborough – Gerard “Gerry” S. Choinski, 66, of Marlborough, died Feb. 4, 2021 at UMass Medical Center, Worcester, surrounded by his family.
Gerry was born in Marlborough, the son of the late Vincent J. and Margaret E. (Johnston) Choinski. He graduated from Marlborough High, class of ’73, and earned his degree in Civil Engineering from Wentworth Institute of Technology.
Gerry worked for many years as a surveyor, general contractor and carpenter. He enjoyed fishing from the local reservoir, playing guitar, and was a model car hobbyist.
He is survived by his sister, Margaret “Peggy” Lepore and her husband Henry of Marlborough; his brother, Vincent Choinski and his wife Patricia of Brimfield; two nephews, Daniel Lepore and his wife Jessica of Woburn and Steven Choinski of Winooski, Vt.; two nieces, Christina Lepore of Worcester and Jessica White and her husband Jason of Attleboro; two great-nephews, Levi and Cillian; and two great-nieces, Olivea and Natalee. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Daniel Choinski.
Following cremation, a memorial service may be held at a later date to keep family and friends safe due to COVID.
