Hudson – Michael A. Downey, 80, a lifelong Hudson resident, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2021 at Framingham Union Hospital.
Michael was born on Jan. 31, 1941 in Hudson, a son of the late Frank E. and Edith (Manning) Downey. He graduated high school in Hudson and after earning his bachelor’s degree returned to Hudson High as the Physical Education Teacher and Coach.
He was a well-known figure in town and he was usually escorted by his two beloved dogs, Cam and Rip.
Michael is survived by several cousins and many lifelong close friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 11, at 11 a.m., at Saint Michael Parish, 21 Manning St., Hudson, followed by a procession to Saint Michael Cemetery in Hudson for committal services.
