Marlborough – George C. Kenney II, 52, tragically passed away on April 10, 2021 after being struck in an automobile accident. He was born in Lansing Mich., the son of the late George C. Kenney of Lansing, Mich. and the late Ann (Bors) Kovacs of Hudson.

George proudly served our country as an army medic and loved serving his country. He loved his job over the last 17-plus years at the TJX companies, working within every department of the company.

A true Boston sports fan, George was known to every trivia, history and love and passion of every New England Team. His love of music and especially 80’s rock was a staple of his way of life.

He dedicated his life to his hero, his son, Jake.

Beside his loving son, Jake Kenney of Marlborough, he leaves behind a loving family to include his sisters, Denise Robinson and husband Daniel of Marlborough, Dorothy Gibson and husband Justin of Marlborough, and Deborah Kovacs and her fiancée Victor Pagan of Marlborough; nieces Crystal Robinson, Reygan Anderson, Monique Kovacs; and much extended family.

His funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 20, at 11 a.m., in the Short and Rowe Funeral Home, 95 West Main St., Marlborough. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday morning, from 9-11:00 a.m., prior to the service. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, mask and social distancing will be required and seating for the service will be limited.
