NORTHBOROUGH – The Northborough Baseball and Softball Association (NBSA) recently announced that its Northborough-Southborough fall softball league registration is now open to girls entering grades K-12.

League president Lisa Hodge encourages all girls who want to learn the game of softball, have fun and make new friends to sign up no matter what their skill level is.

“We have a great program for girls of all ages and welcome players of all skill levels,” she recently said in an interview with the Community Advocate.

“The enrollment in our program has doubled over the last few years as players and families are spreading the word about our wonderful program,” Hodge said.

She advises those who want to secure a fall spot as well as save money to sign up before July 15 to receive an early bird discount.

“We are excited to see so many girls interested in softball and hope to instill a love of the game,” Hodge added.

Practices are once a week and there is one game each weekend. The fall season starts at the end of August/beginning of September. Volunteers are needed to coach and assist.
