MARLBOROUGH — After days of rain, families gathered at the splash pads in Ghiloni and Stevens parks for a day of sun and fun July 27.

Carla Robinson has been driving her two sons, Ollie and Miles, from Westborough to play in the splash pad in Ghiloni Park on a regular basis for the past three years after hearing about the facility from an individual at Northborough’s Assabet Park.

“It’s so clean and well taken care of,” Robinson said.

Between the splash pad and the nearby playground, Ghiloni provides “hours of fun,” she added.

“I love the sense of community,” Robinson said.

The splash pads have been open since June 7. They operate daily from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Recreation Director Charles Thebado said the splash pads have been working out well this summer.

“It’s a great place for parents to come down, and kids can run around and play with their friends,” Thebado said.

Ghiloni Park is located at 239 Concord Rd. Stevens Park is located at the end of Belmont Street, off Broad Street.
