Northborough to host COVID-19 booster, flu vaccine clinics

NorthboroughNORTHBOROUGH – The Town of Northborough is hosting a number of flu and COVID-19 booster vaccination clinics over the next week.

Individuals can receive these vaccines with no copays, though they are asked to enter insurance information when registering to expedite the check-in process.

Northborough, Boylston, Southborough and Westborough residents can receive a Pfizer COVID-19 booster shot on Oct. 8 at the Northborough Senior Center. The clinic runs from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Municipal employees are also invited to receive their booster shots at this clinic.

Those needing help registering can call the Northborough Health Department at (508) 393-5009. There is also a video with step-by-step instructions to online registration for those over 65 as well as for those between 18 and 65 years of age.

Documentation of eligibility is not required or requested at check-in. Eligibility is self-attested during the registration process. Individuals can learn more about eligibility via the CDC.

Vaccine recipients are asked to wear short-sleeves.

Following the COVID-19 vaccine clinic, Northborough will run flu vaccine clinics on Friday, Oct. 15 and Saturday, Oct. 16

The Oct. 15 clinic will be for seniors and municipal employees. It will run from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the Northborough Senior Center.

The Oct. 16 clinic will run from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Algonquin Regional High School. It is open to Northborough and Southborough residents who are more than six months old.

Individuals are again asked to wear short sleeves.

Vaccine recipients are further asked to leave their pets at home and to consider donating a new, unwrapped toy for Toys for Tots. There will be a collection area at the event.
