Maureen A. WebberMarlborough – Maureen Webber passed away peacefully on Monday, November 15, 2021 at the Coleman House in Northborough, MA after a long illness. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband John (Jack) Webber who passed away in 1993.

She was the loving mother of her three children and their spouses: Nancy Webber Gabrielli and her husband Albert of Marlborough, Maura Webber Shea and her husband Dan of Medway, and John Webber III and his wife Susen Wong Webber of Belmont. She also leaves 7 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild all of whom she loved dearly: Beth Gabrielli Butt and her husband Garrett and their son Luca, Kristen Gabrielli Cangiano and her husband Kevin, John Webber IV, Brian Webber, Patrick Shea and his fiancé, Kellie Duquette, Daniel Shea, and Caroline Shea.

Maureen was born in Marlborough, MA on April 7, 1927 to the late George Martin and Helen (Kirby) Martin. She graduated from Marlborough High School in 1944 and attended secretarial school in Boston.

In 1947, she moved to New York City and pursued her secretarial career in Manhattan where she met her beloved husband, Jack. After a whirlwind romance, she returned to Marlborough in 1955 and was married at The Immaculate Conception Church. Jack and Maureen raised their family on Highgate Road and made many lifelong friendships through their volunteer and social activities with the Knights of Columbus, the Colonial Garden Club, St Matthias Church, and the Marlborough Hospital. They were founding members and devoted parishioners of the St Matthias Church where Maureen also served as a Eucharistic Minister.

The family would also like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Coleman House and Hospice for their caring support and compassion.

Visiting hours will held on Friday, Nov. 19, 2021 from 5:00-7:00PM at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA 01752. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021 at 10:00AM at St. Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough, MA. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough, MA.
