June C. FrenchNorthborough – June C. (Corey) French of Northborough, MA died on April 30, 2024 while living at Beaumont at Northborough. Her husband of 12 years, Fred H. “Herb” French, died in 1999. Her first husband of 18 years, Albert M. Usher, died in 1980.

June graduated from Northborough High School, Class of 1947 and Becker College in Worcester. In her free time, June loved shopping for flowers for her beautiful yard and taking care of the stray cats in the neighborhood.

June was predeceased by her father, Arthur G. Corey, her mother, Beulah E. Blakely Corey McCabe, her stepfather who raised her, John F. McCabe, her brother, Roland Corey, and her sisters, Pearl Corey (who died as a toddler) and Glenna Eldredge.

We wish to thank the incredible staff at Whitney Place at Northborough where June lived for the past 9½ years and the dedicated staff at Beaumont who took wonderful care of June for the last two months. A special thank you to the Salmon Hospice team for their compassionate care following June’s stroke in March. The highlights of her days were playing BINGO, enjoying the various entertainers, and visiting with the dogs and cats (some via Facetime!), that were brought in for the residents to enjoy! June’s wit and comical comebacks will be missed by many.

At June’s request, she will be laid to rest privately in Howard Street Cemetery, Northborough. There will be no public services held.

In memory of June, please consider a memorial donation in her name to: Salmon VNA and Hospice – Staff Appreciation, 37 Birch Street, Milford, MA 01757.

Arrangements are under the care of Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough, MA 01532.
