Hugh D. CrawfordGrafton – Hugh D. (Huck) Crawford, 85, passed away January 4, 2022 following a brief illness.

He leaves his wife of 60 years Beverly A. (Forsman) Crawford, his daughter Amy O’Farrell and her husband Kevin and their children Sean and Catelyn, his son Garrett Crawford and his wife Erin and their daughter Ava, his brother Walter Crawford and his wife Arlene, his sister-in-law Nancy Forsman, special cousin Judy Burke and her husband James, along with several cousins, nieces and nephews. Huck was born July 2, 1936 in Worcester, MA, son of the late Mary (Tringuk) and Walter E. Crawford. Upon graduating from St. John’s High School he served proudly in the United States Navy on the USS Taconic during the Korean conflict. Huck was a Machinist by trade and worked at Worcester Gear for many years. He was also a partner in Sparkling Brook Hatchery for many years which raised trout to stock local fish and game clubs.

Huck was affectionately known as Wise One to his grandchildren who he adored. He was a devoted caretaker to his wife Beverly. He had a quiet sense of humor and quick wit and would routinely give birthday and Christmas cards to his loved ones which would contain money minus the price of the card. He loved to read – especially mysteries, golf, talking about any, and all types of history and going to the Legion to visit his friends and play Keno. He will forever be loved and missed by his wife, children and grandchildren.
