Jean M. DaigleGrafton/Auburn – Jean M. (Degon) Daigle, 90, passed away peacefully Saturday January 15, 2022 at home surrounded by the family that meant everything to her.

She leaves her husband of 69 years, Norman J. Daigle, her children Norman Daigle and his wife Joanne and Debra Rixham and her husband Randy, her grandchildren Joseph Daigle, Elizabeth Berry, Christine Daigle, Jessica Daigle, Samantha Daigle, Joshua Rand, Leah Gaspar, Amanda Reese and Jamie Cook, 14 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren, her brother Richard Degon and his wife Madeline and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son William Daigle and her brothers Howard, Lewis and Robert Degon.

Jean was born April 29, 1931 in Worcester, daughter of the late Marguerite (Dussault) and Herbert Degon. She grew up in Worcester and graduated from Commerce High School.

She worked for many years at Lerners Department store and the North Grafton Mart Department store.

Closer to home Jean was happiest when surrounded by her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren all of whom will dearly miss their beloved “Memere”.

After retirement, Jean & Norm loved to travel, enjoying trips to Las Vegas, spending the winter months in Daytona Beach and taking relaxing cruises to the Carribean with family. Having been part of a family proud of its military service she was also a member of the Delisle Goulet Post 92 Auxillary in Grafton.

All are welcome to gather with Jean’s family Friday January 21st from 10-11:00am at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton, MA 01536 followed by the celebration of her Funeral Mass at 11:30 at St. Mary’s Church in North Grafton. Burial will follow at the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery – Winchendon MA.
