Hudson – Mary Mancini (Norton) 77, wife of the late Bernie Mancini, passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Hudson on the morning of January 29, 2022 surrounded by family that loved her deeply.
Born in Hudson, Mary was the daughter of the late Joseph “Happy” and Agnes (Moran) Norton. She was a graduate from Hudson High school class of 1962. She worked many years at Digital and at AT&T where she met her husband, Bernie.
Mary was an inspiration to many and with her caring nature and quick wit she left a lasting impression on everyone she met. “Turn the other cheek” is a phrase that is overused but Mary believed in 2nd and 3rd chances and we were all better for it. Mary had a love for animals that extended from Wolfie to Bailey and all the cats and dogs in between, and there were many. When she crossed over there were many wagging tails happy to see her. Mary valued family celebrations and never wanted to be the last to leave the party. She was a faithful woman who loved the Lord.
Random Mary fun facts: Drink of choice was a Blue Hawaiian. Her favorite pasta was from Checkerboards, where there was always a table for her. Her favorite drink, the Jack Rose was first had at the Playboy club located in the Combat Zone. She could dance a mean Polka, and would never to go JC Penny without getting an outfit for the grandkids.
She leaves behind her children Sean and Jean Brown from Digby, Nova Scotia, Sheryl and John Marrazzo of Hudson MA and Shane and Ryann Brown from Gardner MA. Her grandchildren Katelynn Walker, Michael Chamberlain, Cletus Terwiske, Brendan Brown, Courtney Pearson-Brown, Corey Brown, Sadie Kennedy, and Jake Marrazzo. Great grandchildren Ellie, Tyler, Leylah, Brady, Noah, and Lincoln. She also leaves behind many nephews and nieces that she cared and loved for deeply.
A period of visitation will be held on February 1st, from 10 – 11:30 am; immediately followed by a celebration of her life at 11:30 am at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St. Hudson, MA.
