Northborough – Marie Egan Hight, 73, passed away Monday, March 21st surrounded by loved ones at her home in Northborough. Marie was the daughter of the late Robert Egan and Civil Rights Activist Iris (Grampietro) Egan.
Marie leaves her husband Allen Hight, daughter Jessica Butler and her husband John, her daughter Catherine and her husband Erik, her son Tyson, and her four favorite people her granddaughters Olivia Butler, Mackenzie Dobay, Bryana Dobay, and Tatyana Dobay and her fiancé Michael. Marie also leaves her best friends her brother John Egan and his wife Nadia as well as her Aunt Helene Mahan and her husband Jim.
Marie was a Speech Pathologist in the Worcester Public Schools for many years. She enjoyed working with the children of Worcester and giving back to the city in any way she could.
Following her retirement from the city Marie loved spending time in South Caroline with Allen, Helene, and Jimmy. Spending her days on the golf course and her afternoons on the beach with Helene. Marie’s favorite days of the year were those spent with family and friends.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 27 from 4-7pm at Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main Street, Northborough. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30am on Monday, March 28 at St. Bernadette Parish, 266 Main Street, Northborough.
