Gloria Y. PakusMarlborough – Gloria Y. Pakus, 98, a lifelong resident of Marlborough, died at her home on Sunday, May 8, 2022, surrounded by her loving family.

Gloria was born in Marlborough, MA, the daughter of the late Angelo and Jennie (Zanca) Cincotta. She graduated from Marlborough High School, Class of ’41. She worked at Marlborough Country Club for many years as a Wedding Hostess, retiring in 1985. Gloria continued volunteering well into her 90’s at Marlborough Hospital.

She enjoyed knitting, baking, and spending her summers in S. Yarmouth, MA. She was a Charter Member of St. Ann’s Holy Rosary Sodality.

Gloria was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Benjamin J. Pakus, who died in 2005.

She is survived by her son Paul Pakus and his wife Dorothy of CA; two daughters, Gail Miller and her husband Donald of NH; Lisa Tynan and her husband Paul of Marlborough; four grandchildren, Matthew Miller, Victoria Clark and her husband Zac, Shaun Tynan and Nora Tynan, and many nieces and nephews.

Gloria was predeceased by six brothers and six sisters.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 14, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Matthias Church, 409 Hemenway St., Marlborough, MA. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery.

A Visitation Hour will be held prior to her Funeral Mass on Saturday, May 14, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA.
