MARLBOROUGH – The Marlborough-based Main Street Bank was recently named among the top extraordinary banks in the United States by the Institute for Extraordinary Banking.

Main Street Bank was specifically recognized with the Institute’s Banky Award for its commitment to local and accessible banking. This recognition is given to top community banks across the country to help people find the best banks in their communities.

“We are humbled and thankful to have earned this recognition, and owe our success to our customers, dedicated employees, and communities that truly see the need for community banking,” Main Street Bank CEO Walter Dwyer said in a press release last week.

Main Street Bank has also been recognized for its exemplary customer service, commitment to financial literacy, community service, and workplace culture.

Banks are measured on both qualitative and quantitative factors by objective third party judges to receive this distinction as a top-performing community bank.

“The Extraordinary Banking Awards recognize the best of what community banks offer to our cities, towns, and nation: a true commitment to the success of the small businesses and local communities that they serve,” Main Street Bank added in its press release.

Main Street Bank has local locations in Hudson, Southborough, Northborough and Marlborough.
