Westborough – Renate Stahl, of Westborough and formerly of Brockton, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ at the age of 93, surrounded by family on December 18, 2022. Renate was the beloved wife of 49 years of the late Walter F. Stahl.
She is survived by her three children, Ingrid Flores and her husband Bob of Virginia, Doris Faulds and her husband Rob of Westborough, and Peter Stahl and his wife Elizabeth, of Pennsylvania. She was the cherished Oma of Robert Flores, Katherine (& Jeff) Rolsing, Claire Flores, Andrew (& Sarah), David and Bethany Faulds, Ingrid, Daniel, Mark, Richard, and Sarah Stahl, and great grandmother of Timothy Faulds.
Daughter of the late Robert and Godwina Vogelbusch. Sister of Ingrid (& Udo) Kahne, and the late Brigitte Brovelli, Emil Vogelbush, Winfried Vogelbush, Christa Wehrmann, Reinhart and Hiltrut Vogelbush. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Renate was born and raised in Dillenburg, Germany. She emigrated to the United States in 1955, worked as a governess in West Virginia and LPN in Boston, MA before marrying and raising her family. Renate had an exceptional talent for sewing and knitting. She created countless, beautiful items for family and people in need.
Her funeral service will be held at 10:45 AM on Wednesday, December 21, in the Pickering & Son Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St. Westborough. Burial will follow in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Marshfield.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 10:45 AM prior to the funeral service.
